I recently registered to walk for the National Kidney Foundation which supports research, early detection, education and even transplantation among many other amazing things. I set a modest goal of $200 since it's such tough times, I didn't expect many to donate...
Well...I went beyond my goal in less than 24hours! Even though it's "only" $210, it brought me to tears. Even in these tough times, my dear friends and even acquaintances found it within them to donate. I'm just blown away.
This disease has plagued my family for such a long time. I am so grateful to be able to do something about it. So this is my thank you to my friends and family...be strong.
